So many BAD decisions were made with Breakpoint.įirst line of your comment summed it up for me in Wildlands I felt like I could play through the game as if it were a Michael Bay movie on low difficulty, be the last of the true actions heroes or I could whack the difficulty up and feel like I'm a tacticool LARPer. I just really wish they would take the positives from both games and just combine them. But WL has a better atmosphere, and customization as well. IMO Breakpoint has better firefights (WL had the duel wielding MAC-10 snipers). Also, Breakpoint's customization is honestly disappointing though.īoth games have their positives and flaws. However gunning down 20+ enemies while I'm solo just doesn't feel right. I will say I was at the area show in the reveal trailer, I got spotted and carried the firefight into the hills, it was the most fun I'd had in breakpoint.

They defy the laws of physics and are bullet sponges. The firefights are more intense, there's more at risk. Customization (though much of it was limited behind paywalls at the time) was varied and interesting.īreakpoint has a more "intense" setting. The NPCs made the world feel like an actual area.

The AI squadmates provided some company, even if they weren't talking. Agua Verde felt much different than Tabacal or Koani. But at the same time I felt more immersed. Maybe it was just because it was my first time playing a game like it. Wildlands was far more entertaining to me.
